Adding up to the so-called messy divorce of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, a former friend of the actress is said to be the latest personality to be involved.
Radar Online reported that the 30-year-old “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane” actress is filing a case against Doug Stanhope, a writer of The Wrap, who published an article entitled “Johnny Depp Is Being Blackmailed By Amber Heard & Here’s How I Know.”
Accordingly, the content of the article was “completely false and defamatory,” and even caused “tremendous harm.”
On Friday, People reported that Amber Heard reportedly shared some alleged shocking details of her divorce from Johnny Depp, especially about the lawsuit she is throwing at Stanhope.
“The Complaint alleges that Stanhope is a close friend of Johnny Depp and, as part of a coordinated effort, wrote a highly defamatory article about Ms. Heard, filled with completely false, highly defamatory and very hurtful statements,” the actress’ lawyer, Charles J. Harder, told People. “Ms. Heard seeks the maximum possible jury award.”
It can be recalled that in his May 29 column with The Wrap, Stanhope alleged that amid the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard divorce, the actress was “threatening to lie about him publicly in any and every possible duplicitous way if he didn’t agree to her terms.”
“My girlfriend, Bingo, and I have known Johnny Depp for a few years now,” Stanhope wrote. “We have watched Amber Heard f— with him at his weakest — or watched him at his weakest from being f—ed with — for the entire time we’ve known him.”
“He is a sensitive, loving and loved person, and I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations being made are outrageous,” Paradis said relative to the on-going divorce of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard.
