News broke last week that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are going for divorce. Moreover, thee actress is accusing him of abuse and violence. Celebrities cannot help but react to the revelation.
The 30-year-old actress revealed that she is filing a divorce from the actor after their 15 months of marriage, due to irreconcilable differences as well as physical abuse which she recently experienced, TMZ said.
Amber Heard told in her complaint that Johnny Depp threw a cellphone at her while the actor went ballistic in their Los Angeles apartment, which caused the bruise and blood in her face, as seen along the documents.
Meanwhile, celebrities took to Twitter to air their various opinions regarding the recent Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s divorce, US magazine said.
Many said it’s hard to judge and take side as early as now.
The Walking Dead star Laurie Holden said via a tweet that she will still watch the actor’s new movie “Alice Through the Looking Glass,” despite the abuse accusations thrown at him.
“I, for one, am going to see Johnny Depp’s new movie. His personal life is just that. Personal. No one knows the real truth so just zip it,” she said.
Actor Paul Bettany also said that Johnny Depp was “the sweetest, kindest, gentlest man that I’ve ever known. Just saying.” The 52-year-old actor even noted that his co-star had been in several relationships but his kind character remained the same.
However, fans criticized the actor which he then replied with a following tweet, “All I’m saying-Domestic violence is a serious allegation. Trial by twitter is unhelpful. Let the facts come out before rushing to judgment.”
Amber Heard’s friend Evan Rachel Wood stood beside “The Danish Girl” actress, saying that though she is an openly bisuexual woman, this does not mean she deserves the violence.
“Amber Heard’s sexuality is only relevant in that bi women are at far greater risk of experiencing intimate partner violence,” she said. “Bisexuality however is not a reason for violence. It doesn’t mean Heard is somehow immoral or deserving of abuse.”
Office star Rainn Wilson also called Johnny Depp a “wife beater” with the hashtags, #IStandWithAmber and #I’mWithAmber.
