JK Rowling Responds To Matthew Lewis’ Racy Photoshoot
To think Hermione once cast a petrificus totalus spell on him. Now, Matthew Lewis, also known as Neville Longbottom in the Harry Potter movies, is the one paralyzing girls with his six-pack abs.
The actor posed for the June 2015 cover of UK’s Attitude magazine, where he talks about his upcoming drama “Me Before You.” The 25-year-old shares his excitement over abandoning the weight he sported during the filming of the Potter films.
“I was excited I guess to go on the red carpet on the release of the last film and be me, and not to have to have the fat suit under my t-shirt. It was quite an exciting buzz.”
Sadly, not everyone is a huge fan of the daring photoshoot. J.K. Rowling herself, author of the Harry Potter books, admitted she was shocked upon seeing the pictures for the first time.
Lewis called it awkward and apologized to Rowling, but the author is still keen on supporting her little Neville.
Jason Isaacs was in on the exchange. The actor, who portrayed the intimidating Lucius Malfoy in the movies, joined in with his witticism.
Despite fans going crazy over his transformation, Lewis admits he does not find himself the way others see him.
“And then obviously a lot of attention focused on it, which I didn’t expect at all. I’ve never considered myself to be good-looking at all. Just average,” he tells Attitude.
