Jim Carrey might not have been the innocent, funny man everyone remembers him to be, reveals the mother of his ex-girlfriend.
Brigid Sweetman, the mother of Jim Carrey’s ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, has filed a lawsuit against the actor claiming that he is responsible for first infecting her daughter with a number of STDs and then supplying the drugs that led to her death.
The lawsuit says that White had discovered in 2013 that she had two types of herpes and Chlamydia, all of which she had gotten from her boyfriend, Jim Carrey.
However, when she tried to confront Carrey about it, he nonchalantly tried to pass the blame on someone else. When White refused to back down, he verbally abused her before dumping her.
He then paid off “fixers” to handle the situation. The fixers threatened her to keep quiet, forcing her to go through emotional hell, since she could not talk to anyone about what she was going through.
Finally, she overdosed on illegal drugs – Ambien, Propranolol, and Percocet to be exact – which had been bought under a pseudonym, which Mrs. Sweetman suspects is none other than Jim Carrey’s, reports TMZ.
“As a family, we want the world to know the truth about who Jim Carrey really is — a man that will give your daughter three STDs, lie about it, call her terrible names and demean her, use his high-priced lawyers to try and shut her and her family up, and then give her illegal drugs.”
Sweetman added that Carrey could have been the only one who could have given her the STDs since she had been tested before she started the relationship with him and had been completely healthy then.
Carrey has even forced White to sign an agreement that effectively released her from any and all obligations and liabilities associated with their relationship, which she refused to do.
As a result, Carrey broke up with her and later, played the perfect heartbroken Romeo in the public eye, blaming her for the split.
Jim Carry or his reps have not commented on the allegations so far.
