Janet Jackson is finally back onstage after a health scare after a four-month hiatus. While her health status is still a mystery, there is a new report that says she would undergo tumor surgery soon.

After reports of her cancer battle made headlines, the 49-year-old singer decided to show up onstage once again. On Saturday, the younger sister of the late Michael Jackson performed live after the Dubai World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, as reported by Radar Online. Dubai World Cup is the world’s most lucrative horse race.

Jackson performed with a troupe of choreographed dancers behind her, as reported by Al Arabiya English. She performed a medley of hits including her classic “Control” and the more recent and funkier “All Nite (Don’t Stop),” much to the delight of her fans. The artist was sporting an arm-length black jumpsuit accessorized with an oversized necklace.

Performing on Dubai is remarkable for her. Until Dubai, she was not seen onstage since November 22 in Japan. On Christmas Eve, she made a sudden announcement that there will be a delay in her North American tour because she had to undergo an urgent operation. Jackson did not provide more details, leading people to speculate that she has cancer.

While going onstage is a sign that she is getting better after her “health scare,” some fans are still worrying that she has cancer. Even though the singer is denying this, Radar Online allegedly learned from an insider that she is already scheduled to have a surgery soon to remove a tumor.

Jackson is not due to perform again until May 14. She will be performing in Las Vegas then as she resumes her tour in North America. This gives her plenty of time to recover from the operation if she indeed will get one.
