The 18-year-old son of actor Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith was rumored to have committed suicide. Meanwhile, an earlier news story also reported that the “Karate Kid” actor had an accident why snowboarding, which cause him his death.
But the actor’s active social media accounts say Jaden Smith is not dead and that the circulating news stories are just a hoax.

But who are the people behind these false news?
According to Snopes, a website called redhotchillisauce.press claimed the Jaden Smith is dead. However, when readers click on the headline, they are directed to a Facebook app asking for permission to post on their behalf. The website was also the source of other fake death news which included Morgan Freeman, Cher, Justin Bieber and more.
There have been many websites to posted the same news report, majority of them linking the reader to allow Facebook apps like “Smart Mobiles,” “Gadgy Land,” “Pakiza,” “Top Feeds” and others.
Snopes also added that people who are behind these usually post celebrity death hoax so they can spread malware.
“Even if the sites don’t spread invasive software outright, your computer or social media accounts can still be easily hijacked so that unscrupulous companies can profit from a seemingly large social media presence,” the report said.
Another website, Global Associated News, claimed in their report that Jaden Smith is dead.
“Actor Jaden Smith is reported to have died shortly after a snowboard accident earlier today in Zermatt, Switzerland,” they said.
The said the website lets users start their own celebrity rumor and spread it across the internet.
