The Russo Brothers don’t seem to be sticking close to the Civil War comics. The directors have already said that Captain America: Civil War is not a faithful adaptation, so no one knows how the movie will end.

There are plenty of reasons why Iron Man, played by Robert Downey, Jr. might die in “Captain America: Civil War.” Robert Downey Jr.’s contract may be over. Also, the actor and Marvel Comics went through a skirmish of sorts over the fact that Robert Downey Jr. only signed to do four films.

But according to Movie Pilot, the actor finally agreed to sign for two more films. However, if Iron Man will be gone, Spider-Man can be a replacement. Spider-Man is one of the most recognizable superheroes on earth. The web slinger is also an important character to future Avengers films. Fans also think Iron Man is no longer the star of the show.

“Iron Man 3,” “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron” have started to acknowledge Steve Rogers as the principal character. And the actor is now leading the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) into the future.
