iPhone 7 New Images Shows No Smart Connector
There have been numerous rumors surfing around the internet as Apple’s iPhone 7 announcement nears. While most of the predictions are persuading the masses to wait for the 10th anniversary release of the iPhone 8 in 2017, more convincing details are emerging.Advertisement
iPhone 7 production plates reveal missing smart connector
New schematics and what looks like production plates of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus/Pro are indicating no signs of smart connectors on the smartphone. According to Mac Rumors, the images were leaked by Baidu, a Chinese website, and were later shared by HDBlog. However, this could easily be another rumor, as its legitimacy is hanging by a thread due to the schematics, digital models, and blueprint we have come across over the past month.
Baidu reported that these plates are used as molds for the finishing process of iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus/Pro. Although the smart connector is currently suspicious according to the source, the image confirms an inclusion of dual-lens camera for the high-end model, fashioning at 5.5 inches, and single lens for the 4.7-inch entry variant.
Mac Rumors also believe that the smart connector could indeed be added in later manufacturing processes for reasons we are still not aware of. But with rumors of the removal of the headphone jack, the smart connector is a primary feature needed for this year’s flagship.
In our earlier article, we also came across information that suggests an additional speaker for the flagship model. In terms of design, the smartphone’s camera is bulky compared to that of iPhone 6; except for a few tweaks, the flagship model is similar, and every rumor is justifying our take on the design.
