Rumors have emerged in the past month that Apple may release a new iPhone early next year. This will be a new trend for the technological firm, as it normally releases new models of its iPhone in fall.

The Apple event in March 2016 will feature Apple Watch 2, which the company would start shipping in April. While Apple has been working to include features like a new camera, wireless, sleep tracking, and health sensor technologies in the latest upgrade of its wearable device, it is currently unclear which of these will be incorporated in Apple Watch 2, as reported by 9to5 Mac. Last September, the device was upgraded to include more colors, bands, and software features.
In addition to Apple Watch 2, USA Today reports that the iPhone 6C may also feature at the event next year. The new phone will have a smaller 4 inch display, which was first introduced in 2012 with iPhone 5. Users have found the 4-inch display preferable over the 4.7-inch iPhone 6s and 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus displays. The iPhone 6C will come in a range of colors. The phone may carry the A9 processor, though some believe the company might include the older A8 for lower price points.
The March event next year will be the second March event in a row for Apple. Last year, Apple introduced the 12-inch MacBook, ResearchKit iPhone framework, and the final first version of the Apple Watch. Apple’s last March event prior to last year was in 2012, where the company announced its first iPad with a Retina display.
