Intel processor would power the 7-inch Mesquite tablet from HP. The chip giant has announced a tag price of $89 for the new device when it is launched into the market, initially through Walmart.


The Mesquite tablet would be among several slates powered by Intel that are made to facilitate longer battery life and lightning-speed online browsing experience. The new HP tablet would be available throughout the coming holiday shopping season.

According to reports, the Mesquite tablet would utilize ‘Medfield’ Atom processors from Intel. This makes the device an interesting and impressive new product from both companies. But this is not the only tablet with Intel processor that would be launched on Black Friday.

Not surprisingly, Intel would have several more tablets on the offing that are running on Android or Windows. The company would roll out more simultaneously on November 29. Intel has a lineup of 7-inch, 8-inch, and 10-inch tablets from different manufacturers that are set to be launched soon.

First on the lineup is the 10-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. The tablet runs on Android and is powered by Intel Atom Z2560 processor. The device is already available on several retailers. But the most recommended deal is from Costco, where it could be purchased for just $279.99, translating to a $100 markdown from normal price tag. It is available at Office Depot and Best Buy for $299.99, while at Walmart it has a price tag of $299.

Dell and Toshiba

From Dell Inc is the Venue 8 tablet, an 8-inch Android device. It could be purchased at Costco for just $99 if it is bought together with another PC with a price tag of $599.99 or higher. It is also available online for $129.99, off $50 from common retail cost.

The Venue 8 Pro is another 8-inch tablet from Dell and Intel. It runs on Windows 8. The tablet could be purchased at Staples for $279.99. It could be bought online for $299.99. These translate to cost savings of about $50 to $70 from regular tag price.

Toshiba Encore is another 8-inch tablet from another company, Toshiba. It runs on Windows 8 and is marked down by $30 to a final price of $299.99.
