After getting the first look at NetherRealm’s Injustice 2 gameplay trailer, fans are quite assured the game has more new characters and major improvements in action sequence. During the reveal through the developers Twitch channel, fans were treated with appearances of Supergirl, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus. But, that’s not all.

Injustice 2 2017 Release Date, New Characters Revealed

Batman and Superman drew attention, but it was the new super moves that took the spotlight. As pointed out by GameSpot, the best seems to be Batman destroying Superman with his Batplane. However, that wasn’t the catch! The introduction of Supergirl from the intro swept fans off their feet.

If you’re a fan of the Supergirl show, you can see similarities of Injustice 2’s Supergirl with Melissa Benoist. But, her abilities featured in the trailer hints the capacity to take down even the Man of Steel.

Director Ed Boon also spoke about the characters that were chosen by the team. “A lot of factors. [We pick] the characters teams are excited about, and we’re always listening to social media on characters they want to see, And also DC is involved, it’s a collaboration of players and DC,” he said.

Boon went on to tease that gamers who are eager to get their hands on the upcoming game should gear up for “a lot of unexpected stuff.” This means to say that the storyline will be more gripping to the gamers than the in-game’s fight sequence.

Injustice 2 will come out in 2017, but the developers and publisher remain mum on the exact date. However, we can expect a few more gameplay trailers before its release. We still haven’t seen fan favorites Wonder Woman and The Flash in action.
