With the holiday shopping season only a few days away, Target announced it is offering more delivery options for shoppers this year just in time for Target Black Friday shopping.Advertisement
Target explains that as enjoyable as holiday shopping can be, it can also be such a “major stressor.” This is why they believe in helping make life easier for a lot of holiday shoppers by offering not one, but six delivery options that range from online to offline. This will, undoubtedly, make Target Black Friday more fun.
First, there is the Ship From Store option that has an average delivery time of two days. You may not know this, but there are 462 Target Stores that are involved in fulfilling orders made through Target.com. That accounts for almost 25 percent of sales from Target’s online shopping site. At the same time, there is also the Free Order Pickup option where shoppers can actually place an order from Target.com and simply pick them up from a store. Target says that over 80 percent of orders received from their site are ready for pick up within one hour.
In addition, new this year is Target’s Free Ship to Store option where shoppers who make purchases on Target.com can opt to have their items shipped to a nearby store where they can conveniently pick them up. At the same time, shoppers can also use the Curbside app so their purchases are ready for pick up at the entrance of their local Target store. This option is currently available in 121 Target stores throughout San Francisco, New York, Philadelphia, Chicago and New Jersey. Meanwhile, in San Francisco and Minneapolis, Target customers can have grocery purchases delivered through the Instacart app.
Finally, if all other options are still a challenge for shoppers, there is always the free shipping option made available on orders placed on Target.com from November 1 to December 25. Free shipping is available for Target Black Friday shopping.
