Hunger Games Mockingjay 2 Trailer: ‘Snow Has To Pay For What He’s Done’ (VIDEO)
The Hunger Games franchise has released the trailer for its final movie showing heroine Katniss Everdeen, played by 24-year-old Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence, leads the District rebels in an ultimate showdown with Panemian President Snow, portrayed by Donald Sutherland.
In the trailer, Katniss can be heard saying, “Nothing good is safe as long as Snow’s alive.” It then shows her wearing her usual black combat suit as she stands before a mirror.
“Snow has to pay for what he’s done,” Katniss said and so a plot to go after the president unfolds. Everdeen as the “mockingjay” calls on more rebels to join their cause against the government.
Of course, the mighty and powerful President Snow is not easy to defeat or surrender. “I’ve been watching you. And you watching me,” Snow said, “My dear Miss Everdeen, make no mistake. The game is coming to its end.”
But residents from 13 – the 13th turned out to have survived the Dark Days and its residents have been living underground under the leadership of Alma Coin – districts are more unyielding in taking down the Capitol.
“We all have one enemy. He corrupts everyone and everything. He turns the best of us against each other. Tonight, turn your weapons to the Capitol,” Lawrence said.
Peeta Mellark also said, “Our lives were never ours. They belong to Snow and our deaths do, too. But if you kill him, Katniss, if you end all of this — all those deaths — they mean something.”
