Right now, the talking point is HTC One M10 (or HTC 10) that was released most recently, is up for pre-order across the United States, Canada and UK with a $100 discount. Several reports claim that the new iteration of last year’s One M9 is a compact handset with commendable features. So, we decided to compare the phone against Apple’s iPhone 6s which was released in September 2015.
Design and Display
The HTC 10 weighs way less than the Apple iPhone 6s. While it measures 145.9 x 71.9 x 9 mm and weighs 161 grams, the iPhone 6s Plus appears in 158.2 x 77.9 x 7.3 mm in dimensions and weighs 192 grams.
HTC has introduced a 5.2-inch Super LCD 5 display with Quad HD resolution, while the iPhone 6s Plus has a larger screen at 5.7-inch with full HD resolution. In fact, both devices come in varied color options – the HTC 10 is available in gold, red, silver and gray, whereas the iPhone 6s Plus is available in gold, space gray, rose gold and silver.
Software and Camera
Could HTC 10 be the best Android to date? Time reports that this is a phenomenal Android handset with a fresh design, enhanced camera and a faster processor. It includes Android Marshmallow operating system based upon Sense 8 UI. The iPhone 6s Plus, on the other hand, comes packed with iOS 9.
In addition, the HTC smartphone also comes bundled with a pair of non-stereo speakers and a USB-Type C positioned at the bottom panel. Both devices share similar camera apt for taking best photographs. They have 12-MP camera that features LED-flash, OIS and laser autofocus. Selfie camera is different in both devices with the HTC 10 featuring an OIS enabled 5 MP front camera and the iPhone 6s Plus sporting a 5MP selfie camera.
Battery and Price
Equipped with a 3000mAH battery, HTC 10 carries support for fast charging, while the iPhone 6s Plus comes packed with a 2750mAH battery. As for the price, the HTC 10 has a starting cost of $699, while the iPhone 6s Plus 16GB variant is $749 and 128GB variant is $949, notes IBTimes.
