Home Depot Admits Continuing To Sell 28 Recalled Products
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Home Depot have issued a statement, warning consumers about 28 different products that continued sale in Home Depot stores even though they have been recalled between 2012 and 2015.Advertisement
This means that there actually 2,310 units of various recalled products still made available for sale in Home Depot. Of these, 1,310 were said to have been sold to customers while 1,010 were sent by Home Depot to recyclers or salvagers who could have then sold them to Home Depot customers.
The affected products include the CE Tech 1,000 Ft. Riser Cable, Cordelia Two-Lamp Fluorescent Shop Lights, Genie Garage Door Openers, Harris Products Group and Lincoln Electric Welding Torch Handles, Homelite Electric Blower Vacuums, Legrand Under-Cabinet Power Strips, LG Electric Ranges, Lithonia Quantum® ELM and ELM2 Two-Light Emergency Lighting Fixtures, Mohawk Altitude Gold Shag Rugs, Nourison I-CANDI Collection Polyester Shag Rugs, Pramac America Powermate Sx 5500 Portable Generators, Soleil Portable Fan Heaters, SoleusAir Dehumidifiers by Gree Electric Appliances and Vornado Air Electric Space Heaters that can pose a fire hazard; the Fiskars Bypass Lopper Shears and Homelite Electric Blower Vacuums that pose a laceration hazard; the Easy Reach by Gorilla Ladders 3-Step Pro Series Step Stools, LG Top-Loading Washing Machines, RSI Glacier Bay® Bathroom Medicine Cabinets, Waterloo Industries Husky® Securelock Vertical Bike Hooks and Wing Enterprises Switch-It Stepladder/Stepstools that can pose a falling or injury hazard; the HeathCo Motion-Activated Outdoor Lights, Legrand Under-Cabinet Power Strips, MAT Industries HDX™ and Powermate® Two-Gallon Air Compressors and Westinghouse Lighting Glass Shade Holders that can pose an electrical shock hazard as well as the Kidde Disposable Plastic Fire Extinguishers, Kidde Smoke and Combination Smoke/CO Alarms and Nest Protect Smoke + CO Alarms that may fail in the event of a fire.
