Don’t go against Hillary Clinton, this was made clear after CNN cancelled Drew Pinsky’s “Dr. Drew on call.” This was after the celebrity doctor made comments on a radio show questioning the Democratic presidential nominee.
While the cancellation of the show might seem a bit extreme, the consequences of Dr. Drew’s comments might have merited it. His statements made on the air began a movement questioning Clinton’s health.
Another scandal is the last thing she needs, considering she still has her email scandals and investigations on the Clinton Foundation to take care of. And with things heating up in the campaign trail, who’s to say Donald Trump won’t use this to further undermine Hillary Clinton.
Don’t Mess With Hillary Clinton And Her Health
According to the Daily Beast, the show will air for the last time on September 22 this year. CNN Executive Vice President Ken Jautz stated that Drew Pinsky mutually agreed to the cancellation of the six-year old show.
What Mr. Jautz failed to mention was the reason for the cancellation. In a radio program Dr. Drew said that he was “gravely concerned not just about her health, but her health care.”
Back in January Drew also reported, incorrectly, that the Democratic nominee had a “flare-up of problems from” a “brain injury.” According to him this was based on credible source, which in fact Mrs. Clinton merely went to the restroom.
He later apologized for the erroneous statements, which violated “HLN and CNN’s editorial standards.” It seems that this latest statement regarding Clinton’s health was the last straw for CNN.
According to CNN, Dr. Drew stated that “It has been a privilege working at HLN.” HLN will be airing reruns of “Forensic Files” and episodes of CNN Originals in the 7 PM E.T. time slot before another show takes over.
Scandals such as these are the main hindrance to Hillary Clinton and her campaign. Any more scandals could favor her rival Donald Trump right up to the polls.
