Hendrick Motorsports announced its partnership with “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
There will be two special paint schemes for drivers on Johnson’s No. 48 Lowe’s Superman Chevrolet SS. Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson, the drivers, will feature two color paints to promote the upcoming movie.
Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Hendrick Motorsports will develop the paint scheme for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” promotions. Dale Earnhardt Jr will have a Batman emblem painted on the car, while Johnson’s car will have S-shield and Superman suit textures.
During the race weekend, the two drivers will wear custom-designed fire suits featuring the heroes. The unique idea will be a something to look out for. The “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” paint scheme will be available on the No. 48 and No. 88 cars. Retailers can participate in the scheme starting January 22.
Mike Boyd, Nationwide’s senior vice president of marketing, said, “We’re looking forward to seeing our No. 88 Nationwide Batman paint scheme on the track and are sure it will be big fun for millions of race and Batman fans alike.”
Dave Hedrick, senior vice president, Global Promotions, Branded Foods, Studio Licensing, Warner Bros. Consumer Products, mentioned in a statement, “Hendrick Motorsports is the ultimate team in racing, with championship-caliber drivers and a proven track record of success, and we are thrilled to continue working with them to build out innovative activations that pair their drivers with the world’s most recognized Super Heroes.”
He also added, “Fans of Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Jimmie Johnson will love seeing their heroes face off as they take on the personas of DC Comics’ legendary characters from ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.’”
There is more to the promotion. Nationwide is offering one lucky fan an opportunity to be on the premiere of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
