Harrison Ford Injured In Plane Crash In Los Angeles
Sources have confirmed actor Harrison Ford is critically injured after a plane he was piloting crashed onto a golf course in Venice, California on Thursday.
TMZ reported that the “Indiana Jones” actor was riding a vintage 2-seater fighter plane when it crash-landed into the Penmar Golf Course. In the same report, Ford seemed to have suffered “multiple gashes to his head and was bleeding.” Doctors immediately rushed to give the actor emergency treatment.
Ford was rushed to the hospital after emergency personnel arrived.
“We can confirm that there was a plane crash and the male occupant was a 65-70 years old man. He was transported to a local hospital in stable condition,” Officer Nuria Vanegas, Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman, said, as quoted by Reuters.
“The incident was reported at 2:25 p.m., it was mechanical failure of plane, that’s what caused the accident,” she added.
The accident happened days after it was announced that the 72-year-old actor is officially joining the sequel to his hit movie “Blade Runner.”
Ford is best known for roles such as Han Solo, and archeology professor Indiana Jones.
