Gwen Stefani and her ex-husband, frontman of rock band Bush, Gavin Rossdale, have reached a divorce settlement to end their 13-year marriage. It seems that Blake Shelton and Gwen may tie the knot soon, now that Stefani will be free from Gavin for good.
According to E Online, the former rock n’ roll couple split up in August 2015 due to Rossdale’s alleged cheating with their nanny Mindy Mann. The celebrity couple filed court documents in a Los Angeles court earlier this month to settle down their division of assets.
TMZ reported that under the divorce settlement of Stefani and Rossdale, Stefani will be entitled to all the rights of the music of No Doubt. Stefani will also have an enviable position over her famous fashion lines L.A.M.B. and Harajuku Lovers. While Gwen’s estranged husband will keep the music rights of the British rock band, Bush.
The legal documents stated regarding the trusts, “Rossdale shall let go all of his power and authority as trustee or settlor of the Kingston Rossdale Gift Trust and the Zuma Rossdale Gift Trust, and Stefani shall be the sole trustee and settlor of the Gift Trusts.”
The legal documents also stated that, the trust cannot be withdrawn or transferred except in accordance to the declaration of trust establishing each trust. However, Rossdale will be given a privilege to a yearly accountings of the Gift Trusts. Yahoo also claimed the estranged couple will be sharing joint custody of their 3 kids.
As reported by US Magazine, during the time Gwen appeared on Good Morning America, the singer and fashion designer acknowledged that the divorce is not something she’s rejoicing about. “It’s still painful,” she said. “I’m looking at the pieces and going, What is happening?” Stefani added. “There’s so many great things, but it’s still super-hard to break up your family. What do you do after that? Here we are, we’re doing it, she explained.
