Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have been on a romantic joyride with each other but they seem to have hit a major speed bump after Shelton reportedly reconciled with his former wife Miranda Lambert. Stefani and Lambert haven’t been getting along too well after Stefani learnt of the blooming relationship between Shelton and Lambert.
According to a report by the Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the singer bumped into his ex-wife and former “The Voice” co-star last week at the backstage of the ACM Honors. The onlookers were surprised to see that the former couple acted like old pals. Although it is a good news for the country music world, Gwen Stefani isn’t quite happy about how things are getting on with Shelton and Lambert.
“Blake thought she’d [Gwen] be happy they’d gotten the chance to call some things water under the bridge,” the Ok! Magazine quoted an insider as saying. “Instead, though, it sent her into a panic.” But according to sources, she texted Lambert and threatened her to “stay away from her man.”
This did not go down well with Lambert and the two have been at the loggerheads ever since. The source added, “Gwen went on a rampage, and Miranda didn’t hold back either… God help them all if they come face to face anytime soon.”
The Parent Herald reported that Shelton and Lambert are even expected to collaborate on a country music, however, it is not going to be as easy because of their much-publicised divorce. The collaboration is also expected to play an important role in the upcoming 50th annual CMA Awards, where the former couple would perform together on stage.
“This is one of those things where you get the phone call – and I really didn’t even ask what the song was,” the Eonline quoted Shelton as saying. I just said sure, I’d love to be a part of whatever you guys are doing. It’s one of those things where you’re just honored to be in with accompanying artists.”
