“Guardians of the Galaxy” vol. 2’s plot will still have the usual emotional vibe of Marvel superhero movies.
This means that several scenes of the upcoming film would touch the human soul as it is expected to present scenes similar to the famed “We are Groot.”
According to Independent UK, the sequel to “Guardians of the Galaxy” must really be a tear-jerker considering that Kurt Russell’s role already sent its director James Gunn to tears, as he revealed via Twitter.
“And that’s a wrap on Kurt Russell on #GOTGVol2,” he tweeted on May 12. “A true talent and pleasure in every way. I will admit to a small tear in my eye.”
Another possible proof that “Guardians of the Galaxy” vol. 2 would indeed bring tears to its viewers was the fact that Russell’s co-star Chris Pratt tweeted twice just to share his thoughts of the former’s performance.
“You’re not the only one cryin’. Kurt Russell is the f**king best,” his first post read, which was then followed by another after four minutes, “I’m sorry for the language. But when I’m talking about how f**kingreat Kurt Russell is I have to swear.”
Russell, who has been rumored to play Star Lord’s father in “Guardians of the Galaxy” vol. 2, is reportedly in Atlanta right now filming for his new project that is anticipated to focus on his role.
Amid the good words that Gunn and Pratt had for the 65-year-old actor, renowned director, producer and screenwriter Steven Spielberg could not contain his admiration towards the movie either, reported Screen Rant.
“I really like Richard Donner’s “Superman,” Nolan’s “Dark Knight” and the first “Iron Man” movie, but the superhero movie that most impressed me was “Guardians of the Galaxy,” the DreamWorks Studios co-founder said. “When it ended, I left the cinema with the feeling that I had just experienced something new, free of cynicism and without concern for being gritty when necessary.”
“Guardians of the Galaxy” vol. 2 is set to hit the theaters on May 5, 2017. So keep posted for more updates and rumors about its plot and cast line up.
