The hip hop princess and prince are back for a new and explosive season of the docu-series “Growing Up Hip Hop” on WE tv.


Romeo Miller ,Angela Simmons, Kristinia DeBarge, Damon “Boogie” Dash, Egypt Criss and TJ Mizell the Hip Hop royalties return for a season filled with drama where finally bewildering truths are revealed to change the friends forever tight knit group.

TJ Mizell spoke to Billboard about his return, saying, “To be honest with you, I was very sceptical of being a part of it the first season. I really only did it because Angela was the home girl, and I know she wouldn’t do anything super crazy”

To challenge the dynamic frail group, friend of Angela Simmons and the brother of Swizz Beatz, André King, and Mary J. Blige’s now ex-husband’s troubled daughter, Briana Latrise are introduced to the show and crew this season.

According to Broadway World, the Season 2 premiere of “Growing Up Hip Hop” features:

Angela Simmons
Romeo Miller
Damon “Boogie” Dash

Kristina DeBarge

TJ Mizell
Egypt Criss
André King

The premiere episode opens with the birthday party of André King where the whole group comes in. Romeo is shockingly introduced to the news of Angela’s engagement after his return from overseas filming.

Kristina on the other hand takes up the task to clear things with Angela, as on hearing the news she becomes nervous and suspects that the hearsay from last season might be haunting her.

In the meantime, for the first time we find Egypt working hard on her own in the studio. The show’s title becomes all the more apt as we find this new generation of youngsters growing into adulthood due to unforeseen and propelling circumstances.

As they each try to hustle their own way and pave through; loyalties, notable families and friendships as well as the hip hop world may just never be the way it was before.

“Growing Up Hip Hop”premieres 13th October at 10 p.m. ET on WE tv.
