The latest Grey’s Anatomy spoilers for season 13 have suggested that love would play a big role in the coming days.
First, the love triangle of Nathan Riggs (Martin Henderson), Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary) will continue to bring excitement to the show’s plot.
Second, Arizona Robbins (Jessica Capshaw) would finally have a love interest.
As the Maggie-Riggs-Meredith unfolds, should fans expect a catfight between the half-sisters? Would Riggs be tempted to also have a one night stand with Maggie?
As with Arizona, who would be the guy she will fall in love with?
In an interview with US Weekly, Martin Henderson shared some Grey’s Anatomy spoilers that fans should expect.
Talking about his character’s love triangle with the series’ lead star and her half-sister, the 41-year-old actor revealed that “The writers are definitely having a lot of fun with that dynamic.”
“It’s dramatic, funny and sad all at the same time,” he added. “I think it will take a while to work itself out as not everything is being put out on the table by all of the characters.”
While this storyline will be developed further, he hinted that it is going to be “increasingly complicated.”
With Maggie admitting her feelings for Riggs, without her knowing that her sister actually slept with him, “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes told Entertainment Weekly about the possible reaction of Meredith in this new set of spoilers.
“What I love about it is it’s this very innocent moment of Meredith had no idea that any of this would turn into a problem in this way, and Maggie had no idea any of this would turn into a problem in this way,” she said.
As to the possible catfight, Rhimes had this to say, “What I love is that we’re not ever a show that’s about a guy coming between two women, because I really feel like that’s never interesting.”
When it comes to Arizona, the showrunner shared some more Grey’s Anatomy season 13 spoilers.
“I’m very excited to introduce a love interest for her, and to get to tell a story with her that lets her be who she is, and to see who she is post the relationships that she’s had,” she dished.
She further noted that such storyline for Arizona is “going to be fun and interesting to do.”
