“There’s a pretty intense fallout from that impulsive behavior from Karev. … It causes some friction among the doctors. There’s definitely sides being taken,” Kelly McCreary, who plays Maggie Pierce teased.
The star was speaking to TV Guide about the ABC drama’s new season. She said that all the doctors at Grey Sloan were shocked that one among them was so violent.
The incident of Alex beating up DeLuca will reportedly “cause irreparable damage to some longstanding friendships and relationships as a result.” Besides, Alex will also face the music from his girlfriend Jo (Camilla Luddington).
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 will mark a turning point for Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Alex Karev. The former will be driven to empathize with and protect her BFF.
So will Meredith and Alex be the new MerDer in Grey’s Anatomy Season 13? Alex is supposedly lying about the crime he committed to everyone except Meredith, Wetpaint reports. Now is that indicative of something brewing between the two?
Alex is still struggling with the fact that Jo is married and he had not confided to him about it. Jo revealed in Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 finale that she was married and that she ran away from her abusive husband. So in short Season 13 will also explore domestic abuse.
Season 13 To Focus On ‘The Originals’
The focus in Season 13 of the ABC drama will be “the originals.” These are the characters that have been on the show since Season 1 including Meredith, Alex, Bailey (Chanda Wilson), and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr).
Lose ends to fall in place?
Several questions like what will happen to Alex and Jo, and for that matter to Alex and Meredith will be seen in due course of the Grey’s Anatomy Season 13. Fans of the series can expect several lose ends to fall into place only by episode 2.
Grey’s Anatomy Season 13 premieres Thursday at 8/7c on ABC.
