What's This?

The wait on the GoPro Hero 5 continues with no credible word on when the next action camera will be out. The latest is that that the GoPro Hero 5 could be out later this year but even that is not certain as we speak.

With no release date for now, many consumers are keeping an open mind of not seeing one out this year. GoPro may announce yet another delay.

Arriving Alongside GoPro Karma Drone?

The Verge claims to have gotten reliable word from GoPro company executives on the real score on the GoPro Hero 5 and the GoPro Karma Drone.

Per the report, the GoPro Hero 5 may come out by the end of the year. As for the Karma drone, it could also debut before 2016 comes to a close. There is a chance that both could be launched together along with an alleged spherical-shaped camera.

The Karma Drone is already delayed as it is. Initial word had it that the GoPro Drone Karma would be out by the first half of 2016 but nothing close has come out. The company eventually announced in May that the drone will not be released until the Holidays.

The Wait Continues for the GoPro Hero 5

With the launching of the GoPro Hero 5 or GoPro Karma Drone uncertain, the best thing to do right now is ponder on what it will offer. Rumors suggest that the GoPro Hero 5 will be smaller and lighter than its predecessor with vastly improved specs.

That includes the ability to capture 1080p resolution at 30 fps, but a report from Vine claims that it may also have the ability to capture videos at 8K resolution. Being a rugged camera, the GoPro Hero 5 will allegedly no longer need the aid of external water-proof casings since it will already come with the feature out of the box.
