Google Play Now Lets You Pre-register For Upcoming Apps, Games
Google has been working hard to distance itself from the Apple App Store by introducing more features. Android users now have the option to pre-register for any apps and games that still haven’t come out on Google Play.
After pre-registering, the device used will receive a notification saying that the app or game is finally available to download or purchase.
As far as this feature is concerned, it seems as if there is still only one app users can register in advance. A game called “TERMINATOR GENISYS: REVOLUTION” currently has a Pre-register button right on the spot where a Download button should be.
The only downside, though, as CNET points out, is that users won’t be able to know the exact date the app will be ready. Perhaps a future update from Google will include such, but until now, Android users will have to make do with what is currently available.
