Google’s Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P were known for how better they were than the previous Nexus models. The cameras have drastically improved. These are also the devices to get the latest Android updates first. After last Nexus phones, Google has not been in the news much. The company is not aggressive when it comes to manufacturing these devices. But now, rumors say the Google Nexus 7 is coming.
The rumors about Google Nexus 7 started when the company dropped the price of Nexus 6P by $50. This usually happens when there is a new product set for release, and the brand wants to sell old stock before the new device launches. This tablet is said to be launching at Google’s I/O Conference that will be held at the Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California on 18th and 20th May 2016. Just like Nexus 6P, Nexus 7 is also said to be a Huawei product.
Let us now move on to the specs. Google Nexus 7 may sport a QHD display with a resolution of 1080 pixels. The memory may be around 2 to 3GB RAM. But this Nexus tablet may not carry Qualcomm’s latest chipset, Snapdragon 820, which it did for Nexus 6P.
Rumors suggest that the upcoming tablet will be packed with Snapdragon 810. Last year, before Qualcomm’s latest chipset launched, there was buzz that devices that tried this chip has experienced overheating. No such problems about Snapdragon 820 have been reported this year, but then, not many phones have have used it till now.
All stories about Google Nexus 7 are coming from the rumor mills, so we will have to wait to comment about what Google did. Let’s wait until May for the confirmation.
