Google Nexus (2016) Scheduled For I/O Conference With Android N On Board
After tasting success on the Nexus 6P, Google wants to join hands with Huawei for developing the next Google Nexus 2016 version. Rumors are buzzing that the device is slated for Google’s annual I/O conference scheduled in May.Advertisement
While nothing is definite, there are lots of speculations running wild that Google nexus 7 (2016) might release next year and there could be a third generation of the device that will be built by Huawei.
A recently leaked report on Weibo hints at a new tablet, which is expected to be developed by Google and manufactured by Huawei. If the leak turns out true then the new device will be a Google-Huawei product.
As for the high-end Nexus smartphones, LG is responsible for building them. Earlier, the South Korean company had produced two high-end Nexus devices with Google- the Nexus 4 and Nexus 5. This year, we saw the release of the Nexus 5X, a result of the partnership, which turned out to be a mediocre handset.
Coming to specifications and features, Google has not yet revealed the details of the Nexus 2016. What we know so far is that the device will be infused with Android N, although the dessert name of the OS has not yet been revealed. Nonetheless, rumors suggest that Noughat and Nutella might be the choices, according to AustraliaNewsNetwork.
The specialty of designing Nexus smartphones with Android OS on board is to make the OS a more user-friendly platform. Right now, the search engine company is working on the intricacies of Android N to make it a viable option for all.
Director of Android and Chrome UX Glen Murphy said, “There are many things, like multi-window, that we’ve been spending a lot of time on- hopefully, we can share more about this soon. We’re working on lots of things right now for N that, of course, we wish we had, you know, yesterday…But we’d spoil the surprise of N if we shared all of them. Split screen is in works, “via Tech Times.
A lot of hope is riding on Android N, which is likely to take the market by storm. Not much detail is disclosed as for the matter, but we will soon learn with the release of Google Nexus 2016 how the latest software will add to users’ experience.
