Google Express Expands Next-Day Delivery Service

Now, Google Express says it now offers its overnight delivery service in Northern California and throughout various parts of Midwestern U.S., including Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri and Kentucky. At the same time, Google Express says that its same-day delivery service is now available in San Francisco, West Los Angeles, Manhattan, Chicago, Boston, Washington DC as well as Peninsula and San Jose.
Google Express is a unique service in that it allows shoppers to shop for a lot of items from a host of their favorite stores online. After adding items to an online shopping cart, customers can choose when they want the items delivered from each store. Afterwards, the checkout can be processed using Google Payments.
What’s more Google Express actually works with a membership. And Google Express members are entitled to free delivery (that means no shipping and service fees) on eligible orders. By eligible, Google Express means that the order should meet the store’s minimum before taxes and exclude restricted items (cold groceries, bulky items and alcohol deliveries), among others.
A membership to Google Express costs $10 a month or $95 a year. Aside from free delivery on eligible orders, Google Express members also get to share their membership with one person in their household with no additional cost. At the same time, those who sign up for the Google Express membership now are also entitled to a 3-month free trial.
The list of stores you can shop from online and have delivered to your doorstep with Google Express is practically endless. There are a host stores that offer grocery items such as Costco, Walgreens, Target, Staples and Whole Foods Market. Meanwhile, for other items, there are stores such as Toys R’ Us, Kohl’s, Nine West, Payless, The North Face, L’Occitane, Gymboree, Road Runner Sports, Fry’s Electronics and more.
In addition, Google Express also offers cold grocery delivery and delivery in 2-hour window services with the rate starting at $2.99 per store for members. The said service will reportedly soon be available around select areas in San Francisco and West Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the Google Express delivery service is also open to non-members. The delivery rate starts at $4.99 for both eligible orders and deliveries in 2-hour windows.
