Sony has done a fine job in keeping God of War 4 game details in  the dark. But as E3 2016 approaches, sources indicated that the rumored PS4-exclusive game will be unveiled soon.

God of War 4 Release Date Expected This Year

Thanks to Game Zone, we came across a post on NeoGAF by Industry Insider Shinobi602. The user seemed quite confident in saying fans should expected God of War 4 details at E3 2016. But that doesn’t seem to be the catch here. He said: “The question isn’t whether God of War will be there (it will), the question is…is Kratos the main character? Hmmm..”

This opens up an entire new discussion. Has Sony already taken the step to introduce a new protagonist for God of War 4? Previous report says yes, as the alleged leaked details contained images of God of War 4, revealing concepts of Norse mythology and a new bearded character who’s presumed to be Kratos’ replacement.

The possibility of an announcement in E3 is out for debate. Although Shinobi602 did not touch upon its reveal for E3, IGN says, “The timing seems right. 7/10.”

If Sony is in the stages of developing God of War 4, the game would probably be released only for the current generation console — PlayStation 4. Its last title came out in 2010, and Sony is expected to work extensively to improve the game’s graphics and performance.

Especially with the 30 FPS below issues that PS4 users have been facing lately, Sony will likely delay the launch until they are confident gamers will not encounter major glitches in the game.
