The remarkable growth rate of Giphy in various social media apps has finally led to the creation of its very own gif keyboard. Introducing the Giphy keys.

The new keyboard app will allow users to start conversations with GIFs from any app they want. The Giphy keys will be available for iOS today and we expect more news on the innovative keyboard app for Android users.

To give you brief How-to of the app, after downloading the app from Apple Store, the keyboard will automatically be integrated as an add-on. To access it, simple tap on the glove icon to your bottom left of the keyboard (Once it pops up). Know that this keyboard can be used in any chatting interface and that includes Snapchat.

If you are familiar using GIFs on Facebook Messenger, it is quite similar to that as the user can pick any GIFs from the current trending collection or even find a gif that suit you by typing in the ‘search bar.’ The keyboard app is also available for Gmail. But, the GIFs link must be copy-pasted unlike the ‘simple tap’ in other apps.

The app is truly fascinating as it provides the user with tons of GIFs that express emotions like “SMH”, “applause” and “eye roll.” The app has various categories of GIFs which also includes animals and food. Furthermore, the app has a 8ball section which animates any text typed by simply tapping “Echo” option. The Giphy API is out of the world compared to its previous integration with chat platforms as all its complex features are built in one keyboard.

The new Giphy key could bring in the type of communication that the people have been waiting for. Although the uses of GIFs have existed for a while, other apps have not tapped into various emotions like this before. Giphy’s existence as a third party allowed it to gather information for several years to create the perfect keyboard platform. But, we’ll never know until we the tap GIFs.
