It’s official! Netflix is doing a Gilmore Girls revival, and one of the lead characters have officially been declared part of the project. Character Logan Huntzberger, the reigning ex of Rory during season 5 through 7 of the series, is returning. Actor Matt Czuchry is prepped and ready to reprise his role. What happens to Rory now that an ex is back on his feet?
As reported by Entertainment Weekly, the Gilmore Girls revival will be shouldered by Netflix. It was reported to be showcased in four 90-minute episodes.
During an interview with TV Line, writer Amy Sherman-Palladino said this week, “Our plan is to get as many of [Rory’s] lovely men back as possible,” but noted that deals were still being finalized. “We’re still dealing with who’s going to be in it. We definitely want to see them. And we have storylines planned. I just need someone to tell me they’re going to show up.”
The report also reveals that the character’s comeback would make it possible for him and Rory to make up for lost time. In fact, it was stated that their reunion might be a bit awkward for the two, especially when Rory dumped his marriage proposal during the previous season of the series. After the rejection, Logan went to California and decided to live a life separate from Rory.
However, upon the return of famous ex-boyfriend Logan into Rory’s life, he would be informed that “She’s [Rory] dating like any young woman with that face would be.” Hmmm… will he try to get her back now that she’s not officially with someone else?
Catch the Gilmore Girls revival on Netflix, probably this Summer of 2016.
