Netflix has decided to make all “Gilmore Girls” fans’ dream come true by reviving the popular TV show for a mini four-episode series, titled “A Year In The Life.” The internet took no time to fly into frenzy about possible storylines that could be explored in the upcoming revival series.
‘A Year In The Life’
Each episode of “A Year in The Life” will comprise of 90 minutes and will be based on one particular season of the year. As hinted in the title itself, the series will focus on a complete year in the lives of the Gilmore girls, following the seasonal cycle of “Winter”, “Spring”, “Summer” and “Fall”, reports Movie Pilot.
Adding to the excitement of the fans, the creators announced early on that most of the main cast members, Lauren Graham (Lorelai Gilmore), Alexis Bledel (Rory Gilmore), Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Keiko Agena (Lane Kim) and Scott Patterson (Luke Danes) will be making a comeback in the revival series.
But the name fans are waiting for was Melissa McCarthy, who of course, went on to take the big screen by a storm post-“Gilmore Girls”. In an interview on Ellen, Melissa confirmed that she is definitely coming back for the revival series! Netflix will probably not release all the episodes at once, despite the huge success of streaming “Daredevil” and “House of Cards” in that manner.
‘Gilmore Girls’ Revival
Time has stood still in Stars Hollow, except for the sad demise of Edward Herrmann (Richard Gilmore), because from the first look of the revival series, it seems like the Gilmore Girls have not aged a day! Moreover, there are so many questions to be answered that it will be really difficult for the showrunners to just pick a few, reports Maximum Pop.
Starting with Rory Gilmore, it is apparent that all three of her ex-lovers are returning for the revival series. Will she be seen hitched to one of them? Or will the fans get to see her with a new flame?
What are Babette and Miss Patty up to this time? Will Kirk’s antics weird out everyone as usual? Does Lorelai get her happy ending?
Guess the fans will soon find out!
