‘How To Get Away With Murder’ Season 3: Michaela & Asher Love Affair, Rebecca’s Death & More
Michaela & Asher were probably the last people fans of “How to Get Away with Murder” expected to hook up in season 2. The creators of the show have hinted that there is a possibility that the Michaela-Asher romance is going to continue in season 3.Advertisement

Although no one saw it coming, getting Michaela and Asher to fall for each other was a genius move on the part of the showrunners. After suffering major blows in their personal lives – the loss of a parent for Asher, and the discovery of Caleb as a sociopath for Michaela – it was only natural for both to feel drawn towards each other.
“I think it’s fun. I really understand how these young people who have been living in a powder keg would grasp at each other,” mentioned showrunner Pete Nowalk in an interview with TV Line.
So what’s in store for these characters in the future?
“Michaela is going to have to deal with the fact that she just found out another guy she trusted, Caleb, was a crazy, freaking sociopath, so it makes sense to me why she might want to just choose the simple guy who’s right in front of her. In many ways, Asher is a really good boyfriend, and I think he’s probably a generous lover,” added Nowalk.
One can only guess the various plotlines yet to be explored on the show next season. One of them is the question of whether Rebecca is really dead or not. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Nowalk said that the Rebecca subplot is something not being currently given much thought. All focus is directed towards Wes and him witnessing his father’s death.
“I don’t know how much we’ll be going back to that. At this point, now that he knows that Annalise has been protecting him from Wallace this whole time and now that Wallace has been shot, that pales in comparison,” said Nowalk.
Before Viola Davis reprises her role as Annalise in the third installment of the “How to Get Away With Murder,” she will be seen in the movie “Suicide Squad,” which hits theaters on August 5.
