One of the bachelors of Hollywood has revealed a tip on how to make his long-distance marriage work. Luckily, George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have many properties all over the world, but Clooney claimed that “it takes a lot of planning” to make it work.
George Clooney and wife Amal Alamuddin have been reportedly nearing divorce, as the two were said to be spending too much time apart. However, during a recent interview with Hello!, Clooney opened up about how he and his wife make the marriage work despite the distance.
As reported by Us Weekly, Clooney shared one rule he and his wife always uphold to make the marriage work. He said, “We have a rule whereby we are never apart for more than a week. We also stay in touch via social media, so we try to keep close even if we’re in different parts of the world.”
Luckily, the pair own several properties in many countries they use as a medium for reconnection. Clooney added, “We have a place in London now where it’s easy for us to spend a lot of time together and I can work on new film projects – writing, reading scripts, or we can go to Lake Como or spend time in Los Angeles when I need to have meetings for my acting work, or hang around with some of my friends.”
“It takes some planning, but it’s actually been working out very well for us. She also looks great on the red carpet.”
In other news, Vanity Fair revealed that Clooney and Alamuddin recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary with a simple dinner at the Sunset Tower Hotel’s Tower Bar in West Hollywood. Furthermore, a source revealed that while the couple was having dinner, they were very merry, sipping champagne, looking like a couple taken out from a romantic movie.
Take it from the retired bachelor himself – all George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin have been doing to keep their marriage worry-free is to prioritize the one thing that’s irreversible and previous – quality time.
