Can you imagine Ben Affleck and Geoff Johns working together for the upcoming reboot of Batman? Well, now you can. The release of DC Rebirth has been a massive success by the publishers. Although we won’t get to see more of Geoff Johns in future comic books, you can expect the CCO’s writing in a Batman movie.
According to Batman News, Geoff Johns spoke on “Late Night with Seth Meyers” about the DC Rebirth and the reason behind its release, stressing that it’s not a reboot; in fact, it is an opportunity to bring all superheroes we have lost over time. But that wasn’t the catch of the day.
Seth Meyers asked Johns about making the Batman movie. Johns replied that he’s in fact working on the movie. He also stressed his admiration towards Affleck’s work on the script and his voice over, saying, “He’s amazing, but he’s amazing at dialogue, When he reads the dialogue I just sit there going ‘Wow, I’m talking to Batman!'”
Affleck also showed his support for Geoff Johns’ new DC Rebirth in a promotional video, where he says, “I would read anything by Geoff Johns. F*cking genius, I love him.” All we can do now is hope their bromance helps in the success of the DC universe, unlike Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Click here to watch the video.
Yesterday, the DC Universe took a big step by involving Geoff Johns and Jon Berg in further DC Movies by replacing Charles Roven.
