Earlier this year, Geoff Johns revealed in an interview that he’s working closely with Ben Affleck for the untitled Batman movie. Although the film is still in the scripting phase, Affleck recently confirmed that Deathstroke, played by Joe Manganiello, will be the main villain in the movie.
Since the announcement was made, Manganiello has been embracing his casting for DCEU. Moreover, the actor has been updating fans with his progress of learning more about Deathstroke.
Recently, Manganiello shared an image on his official Twitter. The actor revealed his on-going “research” on Deathstroke. Fans can check it out below.
Manganiello has been reading various DC Comics released over the years. Furthermore, it looks like the actor was instructed to read certain graphic novels as well.
Both images shared on Manganiello’s Twitter revealed Batman: Earth One, written by Geoff Johns himself.
It could be possible that the untitled Batman movie might adapt the plot of Batman: Earth One. However, a previous reveal suggested that the movie’s story will be similar to Grant Morrison’s Batman: Arkham Asylum.
While it is still not confirmed, Ben Affleck revealed earlier this year that he will adapt some concepts from DC Comics. So it’s likely that the untitled Batman movie will contain details already written by authors like Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Scott Snyder, etc.
