The English actress Lena Headey, portraying Queen Cersei Lannister in HBO’s fantasy series Game of Thrones, has seen some of the ultra-mysterious happenings in the forthcoming season 6. And the actress got an intense reaction that might add up to the excitement that fans have already been experiencing.
Headey took on her Twitter account and posted: “Here’s the thing you guys …. I just saw some of S6 .. And … OMFG … It’s beyond worth the agonizing wait.. TRUST.” Headey teased more of the excitement in the Twitter thread that was first spotted by Entertainment Weekly. “I can tell you this,” she said in one post. She then changed her mind in her next tweet: “Oh… sh** no I can’t,” she said.
Headey’s Game of Thrones season four character had one of the most prominent story lines in the show. The story lines concluded with one of the most acutely distressing moments in the history of Game of Thrones. For Game of Thrones season five, it was a bit of a showcase for Cersei Lannister, and the actress faced many tribulations. In the upcoming season of GOT however, Headey thinks that Queen Cersei Lannister will finally be very happy.
As for what fans should expect for her character for the next season, Headey said she will have more enemies. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal on July, the actress gave some hints about her character: “She’s made more enemies. … I think she’s in a state of pure vengeance, but I don’t think it’s going to be straightforward because it’s her. It is exciting if I don’t die.”
“Game of Thrones” season 6 is slated to premiere on HBO, April 24.
