Game Of Thrones Season 6 Episodes 9 &10 Synopsis Analysis
Jon Snow from Game of Thrones / HBO

“Game of Thrones” has released the titles of episodes 9 & 10 but gone are the cryptic lines that tell what will happen to important characters in the series. Instead, HBO has released vague one liners that only hint at what will happen in the final two episodes of season 6. Don’t fret, we analyzed them for you so you don’t have to!

According to Moviefone, HBO has revealed the titles of the last two episodes for the show’s Emmy entries and also included a VERY SHORT description for the episodes. While it is no secret as to what will happen in next two weeks, the descriptions also reveal some valuable info regarding the events that will unfold.

Game of Thrones” Season 6 Episode 9 is titled “Battle of the Bastards” with the description, “Terms of surrender are rejected and accepted.”

The title itself is pretty much self-explanatory as it pertains to the parentage of the leaders of both factions.

Jon Snow is the bastard son of Eddard Stark Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North. Ramsay Bolton, is the bastard son of Roose Bolton Lord of the Dreadfort and Warden of the North.

The description on the other hand reveals more or less the outcome of the “Battle of the Bastards.”  Ramsay Bolton sent a letter to Castle Black telling Jon Snow to return Sansa Stark to him or face dire consequences.

That alone reveals who is going to offer the terms of surrender: the Boltons.

The description then tells us that it is rejected, giving way to the battle, and is later accepted. Why would Jon Snow accept the terms of surrender after sacrificing the lives of many loyal men? He is not, the terms of surrender are offered to the Boltons, Karstarks, and Umbers after they are defeated and are accepted by the Starks.

Game of Thrones” Episode 10, on the other hand, is titled “Winds of Winter” and the description reads “Cersei faces her trial.”

The title most likely implies the coming hard times much like the Stark words Winter is Coming implies preparedness for hard times.

This could only mean one thing, the Long Night is coming! Although it has yet to be confirmed if the White Walkers will make an appearance in the finale, it will most likely set the stage for their invasion of Westeros.

The description Cersei faces her trial is very misleading to those who are not aware of Cersei Lannister’s true nature. There is no way in Seven Hells she would face a trial organized by the High Sparrow that could very well lead to her death.

The trial mentioned will not be some court discussing her crimes; it will be a trial for Cersei Lannister and her family. After trial by combat is banned by King Tommen she resorts to her secret plan.

In “Game of Thrones” Season 6 episode 8, it is revealed she ordered Qyburn to investigate about something and he reports that “there is much more.”

This could possibly imply the wildfire which Cersei is very fond of, hidden somewhere in King’s Landing by her brother Tyrion Lannister after the Battle of the Blackwater. In her desperation, she will use it as seen in Bran’s vision and cause irreparable damage to the city and to her.

These last two episodes will be the epic conclusion to one hell of a season 6. If you think the earlier episodes were intense, you have not seen anything yet!

Be sure to catch the final two episodes of ‘Game of Thrones’ every Sunday exclusively on HBO.
