What's This?

“Game of Thrones” episode 9 will feature the longest battle scene in the series’ history. The entirety of the northern plot for season 6 has been building up to this point and fans can’t wait!

What happen in the “Battle of the Bastards” and who comes out victorious? Here’s our take.

Sansa and Jon Snow Beg For Allies?

Last time we saw Sansa and Jon Snow they were going to every northern house that has yet to swear fealty to House Bolton trying to scrounge up what troops they can.

We believe we will possibly get more of that before the battle begins and possibly reveal the identity of the recipient of Sansa’s letter.

Rickon Stark Dies?

On to the battle, according to iDigitalTimes, a deleted post on Reddit revealed that one Stark will die in “Game of Thrones” season 6.

This will likely be Rickon Stark as he is still in the hands of Ramsay Bolton and will probably kill him to demoralize the Stark forces.

According to the post, Ramsay tells Rickon Stark to run towards his brother. As the young Stark starts running, Bolton fires arrows at him one at a time and keeps on missing. Just as he reaches Jon’s ranks, he is hit and he dies at his half-brother’s arms.

Sansa, the smart one, tells Jon before the battle begins that Rickon is already dead. This could be the reason behind Snow’s sad expression in the trailer.

According to the thread, more characters will die in the “Battle of the Bastards,” possibly Tormund, Lord Commander Edd, and the heads of the other houses.

They did point out that Wun Wun survives despite the trailer showing him peppered with arrows.

Littlefinger is the Hero?

Ultimately, the Stark forces are victorious but as to how, this is yet unknown. Our best bet is that Littlefinger arrives with the Knights of the Vale to turn the tide of battle in favor of the Starks.

So Ramsay is killed, they retake Winterfell, and they all live happily ever after? Possibly, but this is “Game of Thrones,” people!!

Davos versus the Red Woman?

After the battle, Davos finds a burnt pile of wood and a wooden Stag carving, the one she gave to Shireen Baratheon before heading back to Castle Black.

He will realize that Shireen was sacrificed to R’hllor and will confront the Red Woman about it. She will likely admit it, putting a strain on the Stark camp just as the White Walkers are beginning to make their move.

After the victory, Jon Snow and Sansa Stark will have to deal with the aftermath. Jon will have to justify the wildling casualties to the Free Folk as well as deal with the rebellious House Karstark and House Umber.

Sansa, on the other hand, will have to reward Littlefinger, should he appear, as per her promise on her letter.

One thing is for sure, the “Battle of the Bastards” will be bloody, even more so than “The Blackwater,” “Hardhome,” and “Watchers on the Wall” combined. Catch ‘Game of Thrones’ episode 9 this Sunday exclusively on HBO.
