‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Episode 5: Sansa Stark Vs. Ramsay Bolton Happening
“Game of Thrones” Season 6 Episode 4 showed us a very different Sansa Stark. Gone is the naïve little girl that stood in the background while watching her entire world crumble to pieces. She is now determined and willing to take matters into her own hands. Will Sansa Stark versus Ramsay Bolton finally happen?Advertisement
WARNING: Spoilers Ahead!
According to Entertainment Weekly, the emotional reunion between the two Stark children was quickly set aside as their conflicting agendas took center stage. While his sister wants to retake Winterfell from the Ramsay Bolton, Jon Snow is reluctant to fight stating that he is weary of all the fighting.
He reveals all the things he has done from killing wildlings, killing men of the Watch, killing Qhorin Halfhand whom he admired, and even executing Olly. He also tells her that he doesn’t have an army and that he will not force the wildlings he saved to fight for him.
She replies that many northern lords are still loyal to House Stark and that Jon is a Stark. They will fight with him against the Boltons and if he is not willing to lead them she will do it herself.
To hear Sansa Stark say those words are a welcome change in her character. For the majority of “Game of Thrones,” she was portrayed as naïve and reluctant to take action which led her to be used and abused by those around her.
Now after escaping the clutches of Ramsay Bolton, she wants revenge on the Boltons for their role in her family’s murder. According to Romper, she might seek revenge on Littlefinger as well for knowingly sending her to the Boltons.
With Ramsay sending a threatening letter to Castle Black, they now know that they can never be safe. The showdown between the Starks and the Boltons is now inching closer and closer.
After being used as a pawn for so long, fans are now glad that Sansa Stark is starting to be more assertive. Whether or not she will end up getting her hands dirty is still unclear but there is no doubt she will now have more impact on ‘Game of Thrones’ than ever before.
