Some “Game of Thrones” season 6 fan theories have been the best sources of predictions for franchise fans, especially when it relates to Jon Snow.
“Game of Thrones” season 6 has been a mystery to fans, especially when author George R.R Martin failed to complete a book for the upcoming season. However, the most interesting theories surfaced around the franchise’s fan base suggesting that Jon Snow will not only be resurrected. Also, Ramsay Bolton may charge with his soldiers to Castle Black and demand for his wife Sansa Stark.
Furthermore, it was also rumored that Snow is not Ned Stark’s son but his sister’s, Lyanna Stark, and that Snow’s true father is Rhaegar Targaryen, the Mad King Aery’s brother and Daenerys Targaryen’s uncle.
Another theory says that HBO failed to introduce the character Howland Reed, the only living person who was a witness to Lyanna’s death – allegedly the time she gave birth to Jon Snow.
A fan posted on Reddit and shared his thoughts about what would become of Jon Snow. It was stated that Snow would be resurrected by Melisandre. The post shared that Sansa would seek refuge at the Night’s Watch and ask Snow for protection from Ramsay Bolton. Bolton would allegedly storm to Castle Black and demand for his wife. However, the said Night’s Watch’s men would not surrender Snow or Sansa. Ramsay would kill them and display their dead bodies in crosses to taunt Snow to appear and Sansa to surrender herself.
Another theory suggests that Melisandre, the red witch, would be the one to resurrect Jon Snow with the use of the God of Light’s power, as was posted in Winter Is Coming. Therefore, it has been an ongoing belief, despite denials, that his character will be the primary focus for “Game of Thrones” Season 6.
With respect to Snow’s bloodline, another fan theory suggests that Ned Stark is not the true father of Snow. Snow may be Lyanna Stark’s, Ned’s sister. Furthermore, the theory expounded that Snow’s father is Rhaegar Targaryen. Therefore, Snow could be one of the heads of the dragon.
It was reported by Westeros that Howland Reed and Ned Stark were the only ones present when Lyanna died “in a bed of blood.” Therefore, she could’ve died giving birth to Jon Snow since the process would include bleeding.
The character Reed has not been featured in any “Game of Thrones” seasons.
Another fact was revealed by the source which states that since Rhaegar’s wife, Elia, was said to be infertile after his two children, Rhaegar allegedly went his way to fulfill the prophecy and got Lyanna Stark, the woman he kidnapped during the time, to bear another child.
Furthermore, another hint was suggested with regards to Snow’s bloodline taken from the words of Aemon Targaryen, as reported by Bustle. He revealed that there was another living Targaryen other than himself. Given that he only said “one,” and that Daenerys and her brother Viserys were two people and not pure-blooded Targaryen’s, he might have hinted that the last living Targaryen other than himself was the one who swears to the Night’s Watch.
Catch “Game of Thrones” season 6 air on HBO this April 24, 2016 to know which of these theories are definitely on point. Winter is coming and Snow may probably be the strongest storm to lurk in the seven kingdoms!
