‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6: House Bolton Lives

‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6: House Bolton Lives
Podrick, Sansa, and Brienne from Game of Thrones / HBO

“Game of Thrones” episode 9 saw the demise of Ramsay Bolton arguably the most hated man in Westeros. While the Bastard of Bolton was soundly defeated by the Bastard of Winterfell and fed to the dogs by Sansa, his legacy will forever haunt her in more ways than one.

In the aftermath of the Battle of the Bastards, the former Warden of the North is held prisoner in the kennels of Winterfell.

After Jon Snow instructed his men to take the body of Rickon Stark to the crypts, Sansa asked for the whereabouts of her former husband.

Lord Bolton, thinking he can still get away with his life, taunts her that there will always be a part of him inside her. Sansa did not bother letting him speak for too long though, as she released his starving hounds, which proceeded to devour their former master.

But Ramsay Bolton’s words might have carried an ominous tune. According to Mashable, his last words just hinted that House Bolton is not yet extinct contrary to what Sansa thinks. The theory states that she is pregnant with his child and apparently both of them know.

This is not the only time “Game of Thrones” hinted that a baby Bolton is growing in the belly of a Stark. In her meeting with Littlefinger, she revealed that she still feel her former husband inside of her, everything that he has done to torment her.

While all of this can very well just be a figure of speech, the words spoken in the show can have to mean. Much like what Ser Jaime words “The Lannister send their regards” found its way into the Red Wedding.

If indeed Sansa is carrying Ramsay Bolton’s child, it will have great consequences to the North should he be allowed to live. In the eyes of the Iron Throne, the Starks are the usurpers and sooner or later, baby Bolton will want his title as Warden of the North.

While it is still just a theory, a baby will complicate matters even further especially when the current state of affairs leads to war. Watch “Game of Thrones” season 6 finale this Sunday only on HBO.
