‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6: The Lady Stoneheart Scene You Want But HBO Don’t
“Game of Thrones” episode 8 just killed the Lady Stoneheart theory not just by letting Riverrun and the Blackfish fall, but by letting Lem Lemoncloak get killed. As a consolation, actor Jóhannes Haukur released a video of him saying his character’s lines regarding Lady Stoneheart from “A Storm Of Swords.”Advertisement
According to The Independent, before ‘No One’ aired last Sunday there was a lot of debate on whether the zombified Stark matriarch will return. After The Hound returned in The Broken Man, many were hopeful that she is the current leader of the Brotherhood without Banners.
Unfortunately, not only did Riverrun fall without her coming to its rescue, Beric Dondarrion was revealed to be still alive and worse, he was hanging Lem Lemoncloak.
For many he was the one who led the attack on Brother Ray’s commune and for some, he was an important character as far as the Lady Stoneheart plot is concerned.
In response to “Game of Thrones” killing the theory, actor Jóhannes Haukur released a video of him saying his famous lines from “A Storm Of Swords.” The passage from the novel reads:
“She don’t speak,” said the big man in the yellow cloak. “You bloody bastards cut her throat too deep for that. But she remembers.” He turned to the dead woman and said, “What do you say, m”lady? Was he part of it?” Lady Catelyn’s eyes never left him. She nodded.’
It will be hard for Lem Lemoncloak, or for any man for that matter, to say those lines considering he was hanged. There goes our only chance to see Michelle Fairley once again play Catelyn Stark in the series.
While the Lady Stoneheart theory is all but dead, this is ‘Game of Thrones’ after all.
With at least two more seasons to go, who can say David Benioff and D. B. Weiss won’t think up of another convoluted plot to accommodate her return?
