Game Of Thrones Season 7 Spoilers: Prepare For More Misery And Possible Return Of Khal Drogo
Winter is coming as Game of Thrones season 7 signals the beginning of the end for the hit medieval-fantasy show. The wait is agonizing but unlike the rest of us, a few lucky souls have access to what comes next: the actors themselves.Advertisement
Kit Harington (Jon Snow? Jon Targaryen?), Maisie Williams (No One), and Jason Momoa (Khal Drogo) all have their own take on what’s going to happen next season. Ranging from the bleak, the exciting, and the downright impossible, all their statements bear insight on things to come.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, actor Kit Harington spoke about what he thinks will happen in Game of Thrones Season 7. He admits he has yet to see the scripts but believes dark times lie ahead.
He also thinks that we will see the beginning of the Long Night this season. Since winter is finally here he says, everyone will be having a very bad time.
For those who have been loyal fans of House Stark, or at least what’s left of it, maybe it’s a good idea not to get your hopes up. We’re down to four Starks and with Petyr Baelish on the scene; their future does not look good at all.
Still House Stark is in a far better position than House Lannister. With no heir, no capable commander, and nowhere to go, Cersei and Jaime are dead center in the warpath of one Daenerys Targaryen.
More bad news for the Lannisters, Arya Stark is back and crossing out names in her list one slit throat at a time. Whether she will get to kill Cersei in season 7 is still unclear, but it’s pretty obvious she is excited about the upcoming season.
In a stream of Twitter posts, Maisie Williams cannot hide her excitement. The actress revealed that she has finished reading season 7 and nothing will prepare fans for what’s going to happen.
She might as well be talking about the possible return of Khal Drogo, or more specifically Jason Momoa. There’s no doubt that Drogo is in fact dead, a photo of Momoa having a drink with David Benioff and D. B. Weiss begs to differ.
Us Magazine reported that the photo’s caption “Love ya GOT greatest show on earth ALOHA DROGO” hint a possible return. Momoa’s return doesn’t necessarily mean that the Khal will return to life.
Drogo might appear to Daenerys in a flashback in the same way as before. He could also return playing a new character, in the same way Ian Whyte (Gregor Clegane, Wun-Wun) and Dean-Charles Chapman (Tommen Baratheon, Martyn Lannister) played multiple characters in the show.
Due to the delays in production, Game of Thrones Season 7 will premiere later than usual. The series will also feature seven episodes instead of the usual ten. Catch the final two seasons exclusively on HBO.
