‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 6 Finale spoilers! With the trial by combat no longer an option, Cersei Lannister and Qyburn resort to their final plan.
“Game of Thrones” season 6 is in its last two episodes and with all the hype currently focused on the upcoming “Battle of the Bastards,” the finale needs to unleash hell just to top it off. And unleash hell they will
According to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, the Queen plans to burn King’s Landing with wildfire to prevent her trial from taking place. After King Tommen banned trial by combat due to its barbarity, she can no longer utilize the zombified Gregor to literally get away with murder.
This was already revealed back when Bran Stark escaped the wights with Meera where he saw visions of pyromancers and casks of wildfire and the Mad King yelling Burn the all! As Aerys II Targaryen failed to burn King’s Landing, the vision depicted must have happened in the future.
“Game of Thrones” season 6 episode 8 also showed Cersei Lannister whisper to Qyburn regarding something she wanted to investigate to which the former Maester replied that there was much more. This something could possibly be the wildfire leftover from the Battle of the Blackwater as Tyrion ordered the Pyromancers to make it for him instead of his sister and hidden them somewhere in the city.
Burning the capital with wildfire will coincide with rumors that Tommen will die in “Game of Thrones” season 6 finale by jumping through a window and plummeting to his death. Because while the King is not suicidal in any way, splattering on the pavement seems to be a much better way to go than being burned to a crisp by green flames.
Although Cersei Lannister loves her children to the point of declaring war, Tommen’s death is more likely collateral damage by her crazy plan.
What will Jaime think after he threatened to kill Lord Edmure’s son just to get back to her and find out she burned the city and caused the death of their last living child?
Watch the “Game of Thrones” season 6 finale this June 26th only on HBO.
