“Game of Thrones” is in its last three episodes and these final few will definitely have a great impact on our characters. First off, is episode 8 titled “No One” an obvious reference to the Faceless Men will very likely feature a major development for Arya Stark.
Much like how ‘Blood of my Blood’ featured Daenerys Targaryen in her version of the Nuremberg Rally, it’s Arya Stark’s turn now to do something massive.
According to The Independent, HBO’s synopsis for the episode reads: While Jaime weighs his options; Cersei answers a request. Tyrion’s plans bear fruit. Arya faces a new test.
While the Lannister siblings seem to be getting more screen time in this episode, it is Arya Stark that is the centerpiece. “Game of Thrones” episode 8 is rumored to be the culmination of the Faceless Men plot where she settles things with the Braavosi assassins.
Last Sunday’s episode showed her getting away from The Waif but not without getting multiple stab wounds in the gut. After she is seen wandering the streets of Braavos with the townspeople seemingly not caring that a wounded girl is walking in their midst, several theories emerged.
From the trailer released by HBO, it seems the Faceless Men still knows that she is still alive and sent out The Waif to finish the job only, this time, it won’t be easy. The 40-second trailer for “No One” features a chase scene in through the streets of Braavos.
Is this the test mentioned in the synopsis or is it another thing altogether? Many believe that Arya Stark will, in fact, be made a member of the Faceless Men although it is unclear as to how.
The best theory is that it is not her being tested but The Waif, who Jaqen H’ghar believes is no longer fit to be a Faceless Man. This is due to her disobeying orders telling her to not make her target suffer.
Whether ‘A Girl’ does escape or becomes “No One” one thing is for sure, episode 8 will be the biggest one for her so far. Watch ‘Game of Thrones’ this Sunday to witness the exciting developments.
