After Scuderia Ferrari managed to make Kimi Raikonnen smile during his seat fitting, Sebastian Vettel recently came in to have his. The four-time world champion who is about drive for Ferrari for a second year seem to be happy with everything, including his new overalls. In fact, Vettel even remarked, “I’m ready.”
Red Bull Unveils 2016 Car
While Ferrari prepares to unveil their 2016 challenger on the same day as founder Enzo Ferrari’s birthday, Red Bull Racing has gone ahead and removed the cover off theirs.
The new RB12 comes with a new matt finish and team said “it would be less classic Batman and more Dark Knight Returns” if the car were to transform into a superhero. In all seriousness, Red Bull boss Christian Horner has high hopes for their 2016 car. In fact, they’re hoping that their challenger this year would be more competitive than last year’s. For now, Horner is full of optimism.
“It looks right and things that look good tend to go well, so hopefully we’ll see that on track,” he said.
Force India Makes Casual Announcement Regarding 2016 Livery Reveal Date
On the other hand, the Sahara Force India team issued a statement, saying it will unveil its 2016 car, the VJM09, on Monday at 8:30 a.m. This will happen at the Barcelona pit lane where other teams are also scheduled to go through their first pre-season test.
The Force India team made the announcement on Twitter and later on, realizing they may not have done it as grand as the others. “I suppose this is the perfect time to make the most outlandish statement… and watch it go completely unnoticed,” the team said.
