Bizarre things can happen in the world of superheroes and the supernatural. If both those worlds, that is, “The Flash” and “The Walking Dead” were to have a crossover, would the universe implode?
‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7
Even though both “The Flash” and “The Walking Dead” pertain to very different genres of shows, attempting a crossover between them would definitely be interesting to watch.
The only hindrance between them is the network barrier. While “The Flash” airs on CW, “The Walking Dead” runs on AMC.
But what could possibly lead any kind of crossover to happen between these two shows, which are poles apart? Answer – “Flashpoint”.
According to Comicbook, the actor who plays the main villain on “The Walking Dead” has expressed his desire to star in an episode of “The Flash”.
“Man, I would love to play that Batman… It would be very cool,” Jeffrey Dean Morgan, said. “Flashpoint would be very cool… Are you insane? I would love it. I would definitely love it.”
‘The Flash’ Season 3 Spoilers
According to Australian Network News, Barry creates an alternate timeline in finale “The Flash” season 2, when he runs back in time to save his mother, Nora, from the Reverse-Flash. This alternate timeline is known as “Flashpoint”, something that will be further explored in the upcoming season.
Grant Gustin, a.k.a. The Flash tweeted a while earlier that the premiere of “The Flash” season 3 is titled “Flashpoint” hence, confirming the fact that the next season will dive into this major DC event right away.
As per DC comics, there are significant changes that occur in the “Flashpoint”, including the fact that Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s father becomes Batman instead of him. Moreover, the Batman in question is not the philanthropic savior of Gotham that we normally know him as. The Batman is more on the dark and evil side, which is exactly what Morgan was excited at portraying.
“The Flash” season 3 premieres on 4th October only on CW.
