The first footage from “Suicide Squad” is out. Warner Brothers premiered the footage at Comic-Con which shows a glimpse of Jared Leto playing the role of the Joker.
The first “Suicide Squad” teaser was earlier leaked online during the weekend which grabbed the attention of the company, too. This may be the reason why the company released the footage so early.
In a statement, WB’s marketing chief Sue Kroll said, “Today we will release the same footage that has been illegally circulating on the Web, in the form it was created and high quality with which it was intended to be enjoyed. We regret this decision as it was our intention to keep the footage as a unique experience for the Comic Con crowd, but we cannot continue to allow the film to be represented by the poor quality of the pirated footage stolen from our presentation.”
You will get to see Viola Davis as Amanda Waller, Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn and Jai Courtney as Captain Boomerang apart from the Joker himself. The film is all about super villains hired for a dangerous mission by the government. As Waller describes, “I want to assemble a task force of the most dangerous people on the planet, who I think can do some good.” She added, “I put them in a hole and threw away the hole.”
The “Suicide Squad” first official teaser begins with Viola Davis’ sketchy Amanda Waller, flanked by two government officials. The ending dialogue of the teaser is, “I’m not going to kill you. I’m just going to hurt you really, really bad.” You can expect a lot of suspense and action in the movie for sure.
As per the director, mentioned by Yahoo News, It’s time for bad vs. evil, right? It’s time for a movie about bad guys, and who has the greatest bad guys? DC Comics has the best villains ever. I’m not trying to start, you know, an East Coast–West Coast feud [with Marvel], but someone’s got to say the truth.” That actually explains what the story is all about.
The first “Suicide Squad” teaser has already grabbed a lot of views via its official and unofficial release. The movie, directed by David Ayer, is set to release on Aug 5, 2016.
